  1. In DVDlab i inserted two movie files and connected them. Each of the files has 5 chapters. Is is so that, because they're connected, if i press 8 on my remote it will go to chapter 3 of the second movie file. If not, how can i set it that it will?

It depends on how you have your menu set up. Do you want to have ALL of the chapters on one menu. If you use the "Scene selection menu" wizard most of the templates only have 4 or 6 "Scenes". You do not have to have pictures, only linked objects, to your chapter points.

You can use buttons, text or "Draw Connection" objects.
    1. Create the object.
    2. Right-click the object select "Link", "Movie 1" and your chapter point.
    3. Do the same as step 2 for "Movie 2" chapter points.
    4. When a link is created a little yellow number shows up at the top left of the object. This is the "Number" that will activate it from the remote.

    Hope this helps 8)

  3. Well i don't want to use a chapter selection screen, because i have an own background picture for the menu that links to the chapter selection screen, and you only can use preset templates in the chap sel screen, so it'll look weird.
Is there a way you can use you own background picture in the chap sel menu and still see the thumbnails and buttons?

    1. Select the "Background Tab" from the "Asset Bin".
    2. Click on the little "Open Folder" button at the top left of the "Assett Bin".
That should have opened the file browser.
    3. Navigate to where you have your custom background stored.
    4. Click and drag the new background into the "Asset Bin" with the other backgrounds.
A thumbnail of your background should now be in with the rest of them.
    5. Click and drag your custom background up and onto the menu background you want to replace. And there you go, a custom background.

NOTE: Any custom backgrounds will be copied to C:\Program Files\DVDlab\Backgrounds and have a thumbnail file created for them. Or said another way, any changes made to the origional will NOT show up in DVDLab unless you re-import them.

As far as I can tell "Any menu can have any background" as described above. I myself have replaced "Wizard created scene selection menu" backgrounds with some of my own.

  5. I manually created a chap selection menu. It was a little more work, but that doesn't mind. I now know i can do it faster by putting the image in the background tab (stupid i didn't find that out myself :S)

    Where can I get DVDLab?

I visited their site and state that "This software is not yet released."

  7. You only need the latest update 0421 as it is a full install without backgrounds, html help and other goodies.
