  1. I have a STB TV-PCI TV Tuner. This card worked perfectly fine for me under Windows 98SE about 6 months ago. I removed the card for a period of time and have since installed Windows 2000.

I can get video when viewing in TV applications but I never get any audio. I am using the IU Labs updated drivers, since the STB card is not officially supported under Win2k. I am certain that the audio is wired up correctly.

If the audio simply does not work under win2k, is there a way that I can capture the audio through the Microphone-In line on my soundcard and the Video through the video line under virtualdub or any other application that will let me choose compression, resolution, etc?

    Thanks for any help,

Quite a lot of people had this problem with different TV cards, the audio is picked up from the "line in" which you should have connected to your TV audio out. But it still does not work on some set up's.

Also I have found that you may need to select a different audio codec to record in, I think the one that works on a lot of cards is "PCM 8 bit" but you need to try the others to see if they work.

Vdub people also say to go into capture, come out and go back in again to get it to work. You could also run the Audio settings program and make sure the line in is selected and volume is up, before a capture

If all fails, you can capture the audio from your line in with a program like http://www.goldwave.com
