i found a solution that works i unlocked my xp 2100+ palomino cpu with glue and silver conductive paint and over clocked it with same encoding problems.then i down grade it to a 1800+ cpu to se what hapend and now i dont have any problems to encode any movies with tmpgenc and mainconcept. somebody got a clue why that works and not when i run the cpu as a 2100+ as is it .berra

Overclocked chips are very unstable and unreliable.

Encoding is very CPU intensive and will cause crashes in systems that are unstable, many people think it's the software when in fact it is a hardware problem. If you want to test the reliability of your system then try some video encoding!

Bad CPU! Your overclocking may be the reason or you just got a bad one.
