  1. I want to capture my Powerpoint presentation to burn on a DVD. The Powerpoint presentation has animations and all so I can not just export to picture files. And I have tried screen capturing programs, they are no good for me, because the Powerpoint presentations have a lot of high-quality pictures in it which affects the performance of the snap shot program.

Ideally what I want to do, is send a live feed from my computer screen and capture to my DV camcorder. Then capture that video from the DV tape back to avi, then to DVD. The connection that I am using is a firewire cable. Is it possible to enable it as a live feed of my computer screen? That would be perfect for me.

I think you can export the PP files to AVI, then convert AVI to MPEG, and then author DVD.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

Depends on what Version of PPT, and what OS you have. PPT for OSX Mac will export to QT. PPT 2002 or XP may do AVI through Producer.

Nonetheless, it is probably much easier for you to send a feed out through your video-out to the DV camera.

  4. I have a feed out, but it is firewire. Is it possible to send a live feed of my computer screen out through firewire?

Mayb try this caputure program I think it works great. I use it to caputure instruction videos for Pro/Engineer (a 3D-CAD program). I don't think there is a way to stream the power point presentation out thru firewire.
