hi, i have been given an old MM100PCTV card and have managed to install, find drivers and get it working. i've managed to capture some t.v to my hard disc although i had to use windows movie maker and therefore .wmv format. my question is this: can i use this card to capture some vhs movies i have and want to put onto disc and what other software can i use apart from windows movie maker. thanx for ur advice

If you can capture with Virtualdub, that's a great application.
I've had good luck with VirtualVCR as well. Both are freeware.
for editing, again, Virtualdub can do it, but it's very linear. For non-linear, you can use MovieXone, their basic version is freeware. (basically limited to one audio and two video tracks, if I'm remembering correctly).
Check the Tools section and the Capture, Convert and Burn sections for more good info.
