I was wondering if DVD audio disks can be burned easily like normal CD's? Or does it require encrypting or some extra steps??? I've seen more and more DVD audio disks being sold everywhere and was wondering if it's going to be the new "standard".

I don't see why current DVD burners can't support DVD audio format. It's all the same media, with the same type of discs. At least I hope so. Anyone have any info on this subject? Anyone?

No authoring or ripping programs currently support DVD-Audio.DVD-Audio faqs:http://www.digitalaudioguide.com/faq/dvd-audio/faq_2.htm#What%20are%20the%20DVD-Audio%...pecifications?

Today's DVD burners can burn DVD-As, but DVD-As are encrypted, and authored differently. Some new programs allow you to make DVD-As.

DVD-Audio discs can be encrypted, but they don't have to be, just like DVD-Video. And just like video, DVD-Audio file/folder structure is just data on a Mode1 ISO/UDF bridge disc. So a burner could burn it in addition to DVD-Video.
Now, DVD-Audio's encryption is different from DVD-Video's CSS. The DVD Forum companies didn't want the DeCSS stuff to happen again to DVD-Audio. That's one reason the DVD-Audio spec took so long to finalize.
As an aside, one good difference is that ALL DVD-Audio discs are region-free, as there is NO region coding on DVD-Audio.
While burning apps such as Nero will allow you to burn a DVD-Audio disc, they don't have an "optimized preset". This preset is aware of the strict structural requirements and peculiarities of DVD-Video. There probably will be future such presets for DVD-Audio, but there isn't just yet. For this, you'll need a dedicated DVD-Audio burning app. Since there is no need to burn DVD-Audio if you haven't AUTHORED DVD-Audio, the best place to find DVD-Audio burning capabilities is within a DVD-Audio authoring app. On good reasonable such app is Minnetonka's discWelder.
AFAIK, contrary to what what previously noted, ALL current DVD burners support burning DVD-Audio.

Sonic has DVD Audio Creator, which integrates nicely with Scenarist. http://www.sonic.com/products/dac/

$2495 to make a DVD-Audio disk using Diskwelder Chrome?!
Let me restate"there is no REASONABLY priced authoring or ripping programs that support DVD-Audio".
..and Sonic's pricing policy is "if you have to ask,you can't afford it". -
MOVIEGEEK:
You looked but you did not see. DiscWelder Steel is more reasonably priced at $495US. And there probably will be other players in this game. My bet is on Sonic Foundry.
'Course, what we really want is for someone here to put together a GNU Freeware version, much like IFOEdit.
