Deleting PDI files

When using IC7 and saving to my hard drive ( my second hard drive), I lose space after deleting the pdi files. I am running XP home. After every movie I lose 1 gig of space. After a while I have to reformatt the drive. Does anyone know a solution for this or have a similar problem?

Tried that and didn't do the trick.

If you are using Norton Anti Virus on your machine you may need to right click on your recycle bin and empty norton protected files , otherwise they are still on the hard drive.

In fact it's Norton System Works utilities.. but good point could be that

Or maybe the windows Swap file that don't decrease in size ? (never see this, but possible)

I don't have Norton so who knows what the problem could be. It seems to only happen with PDI files and no other type of file like vob's.
