    i m having problem while choosing a correct resolution for PAL . i want to capture in high quality so which resolution do u suggest to use if i m having:
    256mb RAM
    pentium 3 celeron 1.12ghz
    direct x 8.0a
    VGA card 8mb(builtin)
    pixelview capture card

    If you want a VCD: 352 X 288(mpeg1)
    if you want an SVCD: 480 X 576(mpeg2)
    if you wantt a DVD: 720 X 576(mpeg2)

    of course, a DVD has the highest quality, but, if you dont have a DVD burner, i would go for the SVCD(mpeg2)
