Hi- I have a older All-in-Wonder with TV tuner card. I can capture TV shows in VCD format fine. No loss frames. But when I select anything larger than VCD format I lose massive amounts of frames and it is un-watchable. Well I just bought a DVD writer and now want to capture in DVD mode 720x480 (?). I remember that some cards compress better than others, software compression / hardware compression. What is the best card to capture TV in DVD format? Thanks.

What are your system specs? Is it possible your PC isn't powerful enough to capture at higher resolutions/bitrates?
