    Hello everyone
Does anyone know what the maximum allowable .mpeg file size is for a SVCD .bin/.cue set for it to be put onto a 700meg cd-r?

For example, i have encoded my SVCD both at 2500 (which yields a .bin/cue of over 1gig - obviously wont fit)

So using the ffmpegx bit rate calculator it said i needed 2100 k/sec not 2500 for the movie to stay on 2 cd-r's
however, after the process the .bin/.cue sets are 900 megs (getting closer)

    I then said

    2100k/sec X k/sec
    ------------ = ------------- solve for x and get x = 1866k/sec
    900 megs 800 megs

is this correct!?! Or can i not do this calculation

    I did use the calculator.

1st time i just typed in standard svcd of 2500 - that was way to large, probably would have been 3

2nd time i used the calculator
    98 min in 2 cd's 74 min mode2 it said 2100 but .bin was 900 megs

    thats why i was asking.

the thing though is.......... what are the differences between the 74 mim options using the calculator there are two modes. is one better over the other!?

Did i do the calculation correct?
    Any thoughts still?!?
