  1. Hey.

I recording a few whose line eps on to dvd. I've recorded them as DIVX and then converted them VCD using Tmpgenc. I want to make a VCD-DVD. Now i've followed the guide to the dot, and i still get audio sync problems with the clicks. I've converted them to 48000kHz and 224k, and i've also tried other things like 48000kHz and 348K. Still no good. I've tried using sscr to encode the sound, but nothing. When i author it, ive made sure that it doesnt re-encode at all. Now for some reason, SOME of the whose line episodes acutally come out good. When i played them on the player, the sound was perfect. So i cant figure it out. If anyone could give me another link, guide or even some hits, that would be good.

  3. This is more than likely a result of the person who made the divs taking some short cuts. There is a guide (cant remember the name of it) that talks about syncing audio. It basically involves using soundforge or a product like that and looking at the video and audio together and either shorting it or lenghening it.

Another option (if the divx was perfect) is that in TMPGENC you either checked or didnt check sync video and audio.

What you could do is check to see if the length of the video matches EXACTLY the length of the audio. My off the cuff guess is that they do not. Your PC will 99% of the time play it perfectly. The true test is on a standalone.

A question I have is does the sync appear gradually and then resyncs or it is (2 seconds) off the ENTIRE movie? That will help in determining what type of sync it is.

  4. I've had a look at the 2 files, and both the audio and video are the same length. I was the one that encoded the divx files. They were recorded from my capture card. I havent had a chance to look for that guide, but i will. Any other ideas would be helpful. Thanks
