DV to Still Pictures? is it possible?

NEWBIE HERE!

I have finish capturing my frist DV. Great footage. Done all editing. Burn copies of DVD. However, there are some moments I would like to have it in still pictures like JPEG.


Is there a software program out there, allows a DV to be captured as Still pictures like JPEG? can it capture selected shots? Currently using SonicDVD (very basic editing) comes with the package I bought. I tried to do some search on several forums none gave me the answer that i needed.

Your help is very much appreciated.. could you please refer me to a source?

I know there are several programs that do it: Video Studio 6, PowerDVD, Virtual Dub, TMPGenc. These are four of the programs I have personally used to make stills higlighting what was on the video I have. I even copy and paste the stills on the case lables I make for my (S)VCDs.

Computer DVD player software such as PowerDVD or WinDVD have screen capture abilities.

I found out I have PowerDVD. It works great! I just capture my first Still pictures from my DV
