I have seen posts without resolution in the past re: the Virtual Dub error when extracting audio from a XviD:
ACM reported error on audio decompress (200).
Has anyone figured out how to deal with this. The last two XviD's that I worked with have the same problem.

I may have solved my open problem and thought I'd share.
I opened Cool Edit Pro and selected "Extract Audio From Video" and then saved as a wav file. It seems to be fine and am ecoding to SVCD now.
