    Please help me. Do you guys know which programs can do the capture. From my mini DV to computer. And can output directly a MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files. Cuz I hv tried many programs but all of them can only capture video into AVi files.

    Pinnacle Studio 8, Ulead Video Studio, probably Media Studio...

    I thought almost all the nice editing softwares support MPEG capturing nowadays. Maybe I am wrong...

    Anyway, it's not a good idea to capture your DV video in MPEG format if you plan to do editing. Capture it in DV AVI, do your editing then convert it to MPEG.
