  1. as vcds when i pop it into my player the top bottom and sides are cut off on the tv?

  2. becuase it is supposed to...if it displayed full screen, the image would be distorted so that the ratio of horizontal to vertical would not be correct.....like a 180 pound man would appear like 120 pounds or something....or ricky lake would actually look non-fat

  5. You don't have to have your VCD's have black borders when viewed from a set top DVD player. Some video editors (example Video Factory) allow you to set the correct aspect ratio for TV's (either standard width or DVD wide screen)which in effect will fill your TV screen completely and not distort the image. Also many DVD set top players have some feature on the remote that allow you to zoom in which should fill the screen, but likely not at the correct aspect ratio.

  6. This was copied from the conversion area of the forum. Note: using the settings will cut the ledt and right sides of the picture off some. Good luck.

    "I want a fullscreen movie, if the source is in WideScreen and you want it to be in FullScreen you just select under Advanced under Video Arange Method: No margin(keep aspect ratio) and TMPGEnc will then cut left and right so it will fit FullScreen."

    i get this problem when i convert anime in divx to vcd.
    i figured they were suppose to fit on screen cos a lot are tv/vhs rips so i thought i must have been doing something wrong ^^
