My problem is that first of all i have an .avi file to big to convert it to mpeg-2 so i have to cut it in 2 parts. Then i extract the audio and finaly i use TMPGEnc to convert it into a svcd mpeg-2 then i use nero to burn it, but when i played in the dvd the sound go out of sync. Why is that? When i split the original .avi file into 2 parts, the 2 part of .avi files dont have problems with audio. I also use VirtualDub1.4.8 to save the .wav file but when i wanna save it, it says that "Error initializing audio stream decompression. Chek to make sure u have the right code." I use lamemp3 code or simply PCM, but it doesnt work with any of those. So what can i do to fix my audio problem?

Did you scan and remove bad frames? Use Virtualdub to remove them.

Was the audio VBR-MP3? Extract using Goldwave... load the avi, save.

Was the wav file the same length as the video file? Adjust it with the Time Warp function in Goldwave.

Don't cut your avi, use the Source Range function in TMPGEnc to select which portion to encode.
