  1. I use TMPGEnc to convert an avi to an mpeg2 with constant quality. I then demultiplex it with TMPGEnc. Then, I use bbmpeg to multiplex it as a vcd file, with audio padding switched on & the mux rate set to 0. The file size ends up 1.2gb.
How do you guys who do the header trick manage the file size?

  2. have you tried multiplex with tmpgenc? if you get a underflow error at the end and the file looks green, it should still work after you burn and play it. Or open the file under PowerDVD if you want to preview it.

Try it using only TMPGEnc like in this guide:http://www.vcdeasy.org/modules.php?name=_Guides&id=VcdTrick

  4. Thanks. I did the multiplexing with TMPGEnc. I got the buffer underflow, but it plays on my DVD player (Panasonic CP67) & looks great. When I skip chapters, the sound doesn't come back in, but pausing & restarting it works.
