I downloaded a video that has a mpg extension. When I open it in Windows Media Player it says "File extension does not match file format". When I try to convert it vcd in Tmpgenc it freezes up. How do I find out what is the files actual format and how do I convert it?
Thanks for your help.

see if virtualdub can open the file
the virtualdubversion does have to support MPEG2... look what version you DLL, 1.3c works fine i think.
then you load the movie in vdub
file => file informationWanne earn something a couple of dollars?
