I'm a newbie and need some assistance. I have a DV camcorder and have some videos that I want to copy to dvd. However, the DV is 90 minutes long and over 30+ GB. How can I get the movie to fit onto a DVD-R? Do I have to re-encode or compress it to fit on a dvd? Also, if anyone can point me to a site that maybe helpful, I would appreciate it. I didn't see anything that pertained directly to DV to DVD

Acu,
Check out this thread. Read the 5th post by Raceman3. This is the best explanation I've found yet on how to make a DVD.
