  1. I have spent quite some time trying to get VCDbuilder (which I found on versiontracker) to build a simple VCD one menu, one sequence, sometimes it doesn't like the mpeg streams I give it, although I always exprt direct from QT though export to toast VCD. Other times it all seems to go fine but I end up with a CD unreadabel by anything I put it into. I am selecting the correct type of CD to burn in toast, I can't see where else I could be going wrong. Anyone with any pointers?

Alternativly does anyone know of an app that will allow me to build a VCD with a menu relativly easily, I can use either OS 9.2.2 or 10.2, writing with toast titanium 5.1 to a lacie usb writer.

  2. Try MissingMenuGen. Also, you can burn the VCD with MissingMediaBurner. It burns VCDs much better than Toast for me.

  3. One thing to be careful about when using Toast in XA mode is make sure that all the data tracks are in order.
I also had the same problem with the first couple of VCD's I made when using VCD Builder/Toast and the problem was that Toast doesn't put the tracks in the correct order if you just highlight and drag all the generated images into the Toast window at once.
If you click the 'Select...' button in the Toast window after dragging all the tracks into the window you can change the image files' order so they are listed properly, or you can just drag each disk image to the Toast window individually.
Either way, it should solve your problem.
