Can someone explain to me how to extract the audio track from an AVI file that was captured via a DV card? DV seems to rule out VirtualDub. I'm trying to ultimately produce an AC3 audio track to use with an MPEG video-only track created via TMPGEnc. Only solution I've figured so far is first extracting to a WAV file using GoldWave, and then converting it to AC3 using BeSweet. Problem is: (a) this seems a fantastically roundabout way of doing it and (b) I can't figure out how to work BeSweet anyway, even with the GUI.

    Any suggestions?

Try going to www.doom9.org. Click on guides and then clink on format conversion and then click on CCE. Go down to step 2 titled audio processing and then read this section and download any files that are the guide tells you to. Follow the instructions

    Good luck,
