I have the latest revision of Roxio Platinum 5 on my computer. I'm considering installing Nero as it seems to be the software of choice for burning DVDs. I have tried buring VIDEO_TS folders with Roxio as DVD data files but they don't play on my standalone. Am I going to have problems if I keep my Roxio? I am more comfortable with Roxio as I have never worked with Nero before.

@falberni,
I have both installed and use both without any problems. I also have installed VCDEasy and Click N Burn. No problems with any interactions. -
Only 1 way to find out m8 8)
I have roxio, nero, nti cdmaker, cdr win...
All installed in the same system no problem here.

The most common conflicts are between packet writing software - Roxio's DirectCD and Nero's InCD. If you avoid installing both of these (or better yet, EITHER), you shouldn't run into problems.

Also, make sure to disable Roxio's Project Manager from your System Tray so it's not auto-running on you.
Then if you're manually activating the programs you're cool.~~~Spidey~~~

At nero.com they have a patch specifically for that, it in the d/l section.
