Yo, I am tring to open a wav file in ssa but I get the error "File is not Microsoft PCM wav"

What would be the best program to make it into that format?

Or is there a way to open it even though it is not in that format?

Any help would be appreciated. ^_^

IIRC SSA only opens 8bit mono wav files (check the help file for more info). You can use any number of programs to convert from one video format to another. You didn't say what your source is but basically between BeSweet and Cooledit you should be set.

I am trying to do it with besweet, I have downloaded a pcm plugin for it but when I save it no new file appears and the original is also exactly the same.
