rotating mpeg

Hi!

I have some small mpeg files from my digital camera and want to perform the following operations

1) rotate the movie by 90 degrees
2) create a thumbnail (i.e. jpeg file) from the first frame of the movie

I can create thumbnails using transcode and I can rotate my movie using mencoder. Unfortunately I cannot create a thumbnail from the rotated movie as transcode does not seem to recognize the output of mencoder.

Could someone help me with this by either suggesties another (preferably one) tool to do the same operations or tell me why transcode does not want to work with the movie created by mencoder.

anyway avidemux is the tool you need .

if you could not get a snapshot with avidemux you can make one with xine .

so rotate with avidemux and if not possible with avidemux an snapshot with xine
