Heya,
I just got ffmpegX to finally workI logically tried to set it up to just transcode an m2v file. It seemed to be working fine but when it was done encoding it was looking for an mp2 file and mplex. I declicked the post processing and never chose an audio file. Is there a way to pick a m2v file and tell it not to try to multiplex it with anything? I guess I'm a little confused on how this program works.
Thanx,
Mullet

actually, in teh audio tab, if you uncheck ENCODE AUDIO, it wont ask you for an audio file and thus will only encode the video.
also, make sure the post encoding tools are turned off for things like split and mux. (Simply uncheck them)
that way, all you are doing is encoding video.
or you can use something like Missing MPEG Tools, which will have a tab specific for only mpeg2enc (seperate from mp2enc)

thanx,
actually i thought i did uncheck the encode audio and it still tried to do so... thats strange. so what is the passthrough function used for... i just retried this scheme with the encode audio off and told it to leave the elementary streams which hadn't done the prior time... we'll see what happens this time around
