Are you sure the files are dvd compliant?
What are your settings in mainconcept?
What is the error msgs in all tools?
Have you tried demultiplex the files and import the video and audio separate?

1.I am using the default settings with only the bitrate lowered to 4200.
    2.DVD,720x480,VBR,PCM48000 16 bit
3.I haven't coppied the error messages and that computer is tied up right now but I'll ck it again later and get them for you. Spruceup needs seperate files. B's DVD just hung, after an hour I hit ctl, alt, del and it said program not responding. UMF1 won't accept pcm audio. DVDit LE went through all the motions and I figured ah ha I've got it but it recorded no audio, only video. Expression said program needed to close as soon as I moved to the preview window.
4.No I haven't tried demultiplex. I wanted to see if it would work in any program without taking that step. I tried the mpg2 w/mp2 setting for encoding but had a crash right away, about 3 min into encoding.
Thanks for your intrest. ........... harrymj3
