I’m trying to capture PAL VHS using a Hauppauge USB-Live2 (Model 1341) and a Panasonic NV-HS950 VCR, with S-VHS, TBC, separate NR. S-video connection.
I can't get VirtualDub to stick to PAL. I’ve tried VirtualDub 1.9.11 and the VirtualDub2. I go into the Capture Filter to select PAL_B, Apply, OK and the it forces everything back to NTSC. Capture Pin is frozen on NTSC.
Did some testing with AmarecTV, I can set it to PAL, but I have static at the start of the tape and AmarecTV shows/records in black and white. If I stop the tape and play again, the picture is in full color suddenly.
Help?
Thanks in advance.

Are you certain it's a PAL tape? Does your Panasonic have a SCART connection?

Disintall and reinstall the drivers, specifying PAL at first usage.
