  1. Something I did made my video leave the box in SE and is in a separate window. Now the box is blank. Reloading did not reset it. The video name still appears below the box and sound runs as usual. I tried to close the new video window various ways but it did not return the video to where it belongs.

For this session I'll see if I can work "outside the box"

I think it's fixed now. I went to file new, got my most recent edit, added the video back and it seems ok.

Why is there no easy way out of the problem by "x"ing out of the window?

    In SE:
    Options/Settings/Shortcuts
Scroll down to Video - Toggle Dock/Undock.....

    Create a shortcut.
    Mine's Ctrl+Alt+U

  3. Dock, undock, who knew? I never encountered it so didn't know. I don't see what update does. If I toggle undock, does that turn off any keystrokes to trigger it? What shows it on or off? I don't see what it updates.

But while I'm in here on controls page, what does the selection of FPS do? Most of the subs I make are or should be in 25 FPS for video.

Ok, whatever I did to turn it off didn't work. Do I have to check one of the shortcut keys at bottom of that page? None, including 'none' is unchecked. This pretty confusing.
