    hello

I am searching a tools (not too expensive or even free) which could allow to convert a WTV file (from windows media center) to MP4 (in order to be read by a smartphone), but by keeping subtitles.
I tried many tools by myself and the best result is achieved by "idealshare videogo" : the program window contains a video reader in which I can play the video, and inside it, with the good parameters, I can have the english audio track and the french subtitles, but the generated file does not contains subtitles.
I would like to add that when I try to read the WTV file with VLC, the subtitles are chooseable (they appear in the menu) but they are not displayed in the bottom of the video.

do you know why it is not working, or the name of a working program?

    thanks.

Or something free like MC-TVConverter. It can extract subs.
