Can't record from Mike in Nero

[Ensign]

Nero's Vision give one the ability to record directly into it from a Mike.

But, when I try to use it (with any audio codec) I get the following error:

Audio Recording Failed 0X80004005 Unspecified Error

But, Why

The sound card (Aureal Vortex AU8830) is listed as the recording device.

I have no trouble recording in Nero's Wave Editor , or any other recording application, using a Mike.

So why this error, and how do I fix it ?

P.S. I do have the lastest drivers

You need to check basic computer settings. Usually the mic input is disabled.
