  1. Hello Everyone,

    I have a video file, a webm file specifically that throws this warning when converting to an mp4.

    [matroska,webm @ 0x7f91f100e000] DTS discontinuity in stream 1: packet 4255 with DTS 478651, packet 4256 with DTS 564701

    The file seems to convert just fine but is causing issues later on in the process when combining the MP4's into 1 video. The timestamps seem to be off, and people talk over each other.

    I am having trouble getting a clear picture of what the warning message means and what implications this has when working with videos.

    This may happen when your source possibly has been cut and merged already. It may be solved by ignoring DTS timestamps or by forcing ffmpeg to rebuild timestamps while converting, instead of preserving them. Unfortunately I am not sure which of the many options is correct for your case...
