  1. what is the difference between mpv-32bit and mpv-64bit.exe?

if mpv-32bit doesnt work with XP then what is this 32bit version for?

mpv came with d3dcompiler_43.dll, why do i need this file? it seems to work without it.

ok but isnt this a waste of an effort? why would someone want to run 32bit if they could use 64bit ?

  5. Older software only runs on 32 bit systems, including 16bit DOS programs. Also some hardware including drivers are only available for 32 bit systems
