I cut my own hair so it tends to get pretty long and then cut back to pretty short. Right now it's just starting to cover my ears a little, but still relatively short.

I too had the spiky hair look for the longest time - still very much a punk even today - he he.

In recent years, despite my age, I'm still growing my hair, not terribly long, but there's length nevertheless. Working in audio/video gives me that "hip" look with it - no friction with clients on my part. (My current avatar is indeed actually me).

Although I still have a full head of hair, my best feature in hair is my long eyelashes - my one very much loved "feminine" feature I do enjoy.

Favorite Halloween uniforms, depending on my hair of the time - Clockwork Orange, Cyberpunk and recently it's the Joker (of which I call the PuzZLeR).

Real hippies don't mind going days or weeks without a bath, shaving, love the grateful dead ect.

I find what avoids me ever looking like any "freedom child" or liberal leftist hippie (ughh!, sorry) is streaking my longer hair - gives it an edge along with the way I dress (no Birkenstocks for me , I even wear Docs in the summer...)

And no, I'm not a Metalhead either (although alot of metal is indeed cool).

Ok, shameless comment here from MY experience: I will say that guys with very long hair are indeed the coolest friends to hang with at any rate over the years and they seem to bond with me at bars, at shows, at events, etc.

But for serious stuff like work though? Hmmm...

Originally I kept it very long, but over the years I have had every hairstyle known to man - and all caused by natural causes, so that now I can have three or four hairstyles on different parts of my head if I wanted! Don't you just love male pattern baldness!!!

My hair is curly, so instead of getting long it gets bushy. Since I tend to get my hair cut only when it 'bothering me' I go back and forth between looking like Paul Rubinek and Link from Mod Squad (Clarence Williams III) sometimes with long stretches of either.

75% hair, 25% shine (rough estimates) I do remember 100% hair though and those were some good times. I look like captain buzzkill I gotta keep whats left short so my uptight bald boss doesn't hassle me. The man been keeping me down long time.
