JVC HR7655EK - Not accepting tape

Newbie here looking for help

Got my hands on a JVC HR7655EK Machine that is not accepting tapes, it powers up but won't take in take.


I managed to force it it manually when I power off then on again it will spit out the tape!!


Any ideas??

This is not something an average person can fix, You will have to first look for the mechanism alignment marks to make sure everything is in the park position and no broken gears or belts, then check the mode switch alignment and clean the contacts, after that check all your voltages in the power section and make sure all the motors get their power according to the service manual, and go down to specific components until the fault is identified.
