I have one XP installed on C: and another one XP installed on D:

I want to eliminate the XP on D:. So I formated D: but at the end the Windows XP remains there!

Anybody teach me, please, how I can eliminate that XP?

    Thanks and cheers.

  2. If you formatted D, then you should not be able to see it actually on D, unless you use recover software. If it is still showing upon boot, you must manually edit the boot.ini file on the C drive or right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced >Startup and Recovery Settings. Select the correct OS as default from the dropdown and then set the selection time to 0 seconds.

    OK, Dv8ted2.
But now, that I located the default OS, can I delete the line that doesn't interest me?
And so, maybe I succeed to delete the OS files I don't want?

    Thanks and cheers.

    Yes,

If you manually edit the boot.ini, you can remove the line and then save the changes.
