  1. i was using the trial version of Honestech DVD authoring 2 software and tried importing my title clip which ar all svcd format mpeg captures from my tv tuner card and i keep getting the following error "can't seek backward" error. avi's import fine but not my mpegs captured in above mentiuoned for mat. Any advice for me from those who know what this means and what is the possible solution?

  3. i could not find my answer in the threads you linked me to

    These mpegs open in any editor but are giving me the above error (can't seek backward) when imported in the above software and i want to know what it MEANS

    Usually it means that the internal index within the file is missing, corrupt, or wasn't created properly in the first place. A lot more common in WMV or avi files than mpeg files. You might try running the mpg files through something like restream to see if it makes a difference.
