Ripping BD Live Features

Hello,

I've got a bunch of Blu-ray disks with some features I'd be interested in ripping described as "BD Live". From my understanding, these are files that aren't included on the disk but rather files which the player downloads and plays if it supports this feature. I'd be looking to encode the files and have no issues there, but I'm not sure on how to get the BD Live features on to my computer (and if there's any protection removal that's required in this process) prior to encoding.

Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing before?

AnyDVDHD mentions bd-live removal in the changelog ( https://www.videohelp.com/software/AnyDVD/version-history#changelog from 2011 ) but I have no idea how it works.

From read, some disks refused to open at all and that option disables any BD Live features on the disk in order to be able to play/rip disks that would otherwise be problematic. As far as I can tell, there doesn't appear to be an option or program to actually rip the BD Live content itself, only to disable it entirely.

It appears to be a long, but working solution. I'll have the chance to test it this weekend hopefully and if it goes well I'll confirm it here for anyone else looking to do something similar. That being said, the process does seem to involve a number of programs that I've not had any experience with and can't vouch for so there's every possibility it won't work.

Unfortunately I was unable to test the method mentioned above as the copy of Cyberlink Power DVD I have came packaged with my drive and had insufficient credentials to access the BD Live network. If I can confirm that it works, I'll purchase a license directly from Cyberlink, I think.
