    Hello !

    I cannot decide which model of camcorder to choose, so I am asking you here for your advices, what you think it would be best.
    These are all low cost camcorders, which cost the same around 200 EUR +/- 20 EUR. I would like to backup the camcorder tapes later on a computer that runs Linux/Debian.

    Those are all similar low end basic MiniDV camcorders. What are you asking?

    You can get reviews of each cam by Google search.

    From the specs offered, ignor "digital zoom". Optical zoom is important. For optical zoom the important end of the zoom is the wide end. Who needs tunnel vision in a camcorder.

  3. You might want to search google for MiniDV to Linux

    Plus you can take a look at dvgrab or Kino
    tgpo famous MAC commercial, You be the judge?

    DV is an established standard. There is no difference between camcorders as regards the OS in the computer. Buy the best camcorder on its own merits.
