Hello everyone. There are two damage spots in my video project, the first 19 frames, the second 13 frames (each within one scene). Simple interpolation with avisynth script or badframes plugin gives terrible results. It's just that the extent of the damage is already too great, but some of the content of the frames is visible. Does any of the forum users have experience and knowledge which professional software has the ability to work with such damages ??, or tried to solve a similar problem ??.. (ex. Diamant... Phoenix etc...??.).. I know that you need to apply morphing and motion shifting .. I do not know what software to try to work with single frame bitmaps .. The frame resolution is 720p progressive... I would appreciate any suggestions to try ...

It is impossible to suggest anything without seeing the actual video so we can see what "damage" you are talking about. There is one approach if only small parts of the frame are damaged. There are other approaches if the damage involves noise. I can go on, but there are lots of ways video can get damaged.
AVISynth can accomplish most of what can be done with professional software. -
I agree without having access to the frames this might be a good aproach or it might do nothing, but may be interleaving the frames of both sources and using Vapoursynth and something like BasicVSR++, DPIR or other 'restoration'/'repair' filters might help.
None of these does anything like morphing and motion shifting so this might be totally useless.

Thank you for your answer. I do not have advanced knowledge about such repairs, but it's good that you do not need to use expensive software. I have been working with Avisynth for many years, but these are rather simple jobs. If there is something that can be done and you know how to do it, please advise some method that you know. I have not found a similar topic on our forum, so such knowledge can be helpful to everyone. I am sending one package of film frames for viewing .. the first and last are correct. Regards.

I constantly use programs for video processing, both for work and for themselves, there are many programs, but if you post on YouTube you can ask for help from professionals))

Have you ever cried during an important game? I cry almost every time out of happiness that I have the opportunity browse this site at any given moment. -
Not. I don't post anything on Youtube. I want to do this job just for myself, and learn how to fix video frames, because when recording from TV, such picture defects often happen.

The stills help a little, but I still can't tell you for sure what to use, because I don't know how much movement you have from one frame to the next. The main problem seems to be the huge noise area on the right side. If the video is relatively static, you could take the blue sky from the first frame and then blend it into the "bad" frames, over the noisy area. If it were me, I'd do that in my NLE, and not use AVISynth because it is so much simpler in an NLE.
Given the size of the noise area, there probably isn't an automatic way to fix the problem, simply because it represents such a huge percentage of the frame. Also, if there is movement from frame to frame, then my suggestion won't work. -
Rife-app can help you i believe i've seen impressive results but you need a graphic card monster which i don't have

Thanks to everyone for the entries. I am slowly starting work and testing various possibilities .. After consulting with graphics specialists, I know that the problem is not easy .. but it can be solved .. by patient work and skilful use of the available software .. First, you need to decompose the input and the last graphic file into individual layers in Photoshop .. depending on the presumed distance of the objects presented in the image .. minimum four layers .. Then independent morphing with animation of each layer to the target form, which is the content of the last (target) movie frame .. For this purpose, I was advised to use the free "Natron" program .. Which should be enough .. Finally, when what is certain about the content will already be rendered .. you should use the undamaged content of the defective frames, fill in any existing background deficiencies in Photoshop .. I do not know if this process can be carried out flawlessly, but I want to fix the structure of this film, and I know that in professional studios dealing with the restoration of old films it is done successfully .. although probably using more advanced methods .. The Rife-App v2.80 software can also be wery helpful ( if nothing helps, I will try to buy it for similar tasks in the future ) the power of the graphics cards is not a problem for me.. Greetings to all ..
