    hello

    i'm a mac user et have no problem to convert video_ts to avi but now i'd like to convert to DVD.
    i've a video_ts of 7 Go i'd like to convert to 4,7 go DVD but when i put "encode" ffmpeg told me "active automatically mplayer encode to convert video_ts" and then the process appears but nothing is processing at all

    i've found the options "use mplayer decode" but it says "remove all special signs from the name of your files" ... don't know what to do, all my files are without specials signs???

    A space is an example of a "special sign." Get rid of those.

    In general, Unix is a bit fussy about things like that. To minimize hassles, stick to pure alphanumeric characters only. Not all apps are that fussy, but if you follow this rule, you won't get these kinds of messages.

    thx but after removing all _ and space, ffmpeg doesn't recognize my files as video files anymore.... arghhhh !
    my files are a folder named video_ts and inside some VTS_01_1.vob and video_ts.bup and something like that.
    i really dont know what to do, i've try to convert those files in .avi = no problem and all files can be opened there are no corrupt
    please help me i really would like to make this DVD

    Oh, sorry for not giving you more complete information. Don't change the name of any files inside the dvd folder, only those outside. You should assume that the dvd folder itself is properly authored, which includes properly named and arranged pieces.The underscore is a legitimate (and necessary) character. So, change your VIDEOTS back to VIDEO_TS, for example, and you should have better results.

    Again, you only need to watch out for special characters in the pathnames outside of the dvd folder itself.
