    Is a 2560x1080 monitor a worthwhile upgrade from a 1980x1080 monitor?

    For example:

  2. Depends on your needs and preferences. I find 1080 lines tall isn't enough. So I use a 32 inch 2560x1440 monitor now.

  5. I got a 32" 2560x1440 HP Pavilion on sale for about US$280 last year.

Before that I was using a 27" 2560x1140 display but that was too small for the resolution. At normal viewing distances small text was too small to read comfortably. 32" is a better balance for that resolution.
