    LiteOn DVDROM in the 1st.

Removable HD Tray in the 3rd.

Why is this poll what you have in your 2nd bay ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

  12. 2 removable drives, 1 16x liteon, sony dru500a (all in 5.25 bays)

several hdds lower down. Asus Mobo supports up to eight (8) IDE drives, Two (2) SATA drives, and of course up to 2 floppy drives. And of course Sony DRU510A in an external USB2 case. ADVC on Mobo firewire port

We push Asus mobos over lesser brands at work. However we do stock things like biostar and syntax and others for bargain hunters who believe that they are all alike and only price matters.

    Cheers

Actually my G5 only has one external bay... and I'm just fine with that considering its the 8x Pioneer in it.

    Amateurs.

    Going from bottom to top:

internal 1 -- Western Digital 40GB HD (for OS & applications)
    internal 2 -- Western Digital 120GB HD
    internal 3 -- Western Digital 200GB HD

    external 1 -- none (empty 3.5" bay)
    external 2 -- ZIP250 drive
    external 3 -- 3.5"/5.25" dual floppy drive
    external 4 -- LG GDR8161B DVD-ROM drive
external 5 -- front hookups for USB, Firewire, and sound in/out
    external 6 -- Pioneer A07 DVD-RW drive
    external 7 -- LG GCE8160B CD-RW drive
    external 8 -- removable hard-drive bay

(And that's not even counting the other two PC's sitting next to it. Since they're networked together, between the three of them I effectively have 22 out of 27 bays filled when all three are up and running. )

    Bay 2 = CD-RW drive.
    Bay 3 = empty.

I have too many drives and accessories (not counting external)... Pictured below from top to bottom:

16x DVD ROM (unlocked for max ripping speed )
    DVD burner (HP 300i)
80GB hard drive with dual temp display (LED, displays liquid cooling reservior and 80GB drive)
60 GB hard drive with another dual temp display (LED, displays CPU and 250GB drive)
    6-in-1 internal memory card reader
    200GB
    200GB
    250GB
and a room and connector for one more hard drive. Actually I could do 2 more but I'd need another IDE card. :P Yes I have room for another PCI card, my mobo has 5 PCI and one 8x AGP and another (unused) slot for modem.

And yes it does look cramped despite my wire routing. I can't even put the side cover back on because the radiator is too big!

I've been itching to replace the case with something black and replace the DVD burner with one that has a black face plate but I haven't found a decent price on one that has 600watt power supply with 8x drive connector. Floppy drive connector optional as I don't use it.

Someone mentioned not seeing a 1 or 2 drive bay in a while, he should look at a bargain priced HP computer. I used to have an 833 and there's only 3 bays (one open 5.25", one floppy port, and one internal 3.5"), all filled from the factory.

    Oh gee, lemme Look:

    WD 80 GB
    WD 80 GB
    WD 80 GB
    4x DVDRW
    16x DVDR
    52x CDRW
    2 GB JAZZ
    Iomega 250

    So RAID towers count?

Then external it varies, since it's all PnP
