I opened the page and saw the announcement.
It looked very real! I was about to pay the $20 to visit the page but I dont carry my AmEx with me. On the way home it came to me that it might have been the April Fools Day joke. I hoped it WAS a joke! Now I know it REALY was!
I wonder how many people tried to pay the $20... Did you take it?
Anyway: Great joke! And scary too. Congratulations! I love you Guys!

I admit that pay page even got to me! Not many April Fool's jokes that really get to me nowadays.....im am SURE glad my birthday didnt fall on this day . Nice one.

THEY thought it was real, and were laughing about how many users we'd lose.

On 04/01 I asume every site I visit is equal to a exploding cigar.

It was intersting but would have figured a logo on the webpage from the MPAA etc saying the site is down to ... fill in the blanks.

I told couple of my friends about this and they too had a good laugh. Sure got me fooled for some time. Dont do this again or i may have to get a pace-maker installed.

I saw it, and I was 50/50 as to whether it was an April Fool or fair dinkum. I was fence-sitting because it wouldn't surprise me (or bother me, mind you) if here went to a user-pays society. I chose the 1 week free trial

Yes..It's really UNBELIEVABLE that you are asking for money just to enter your site (also one cent should be too much).You are not selling anything(just a public knoledge service provided from your users)and also you are already earning money by advertisement spaces selling.Your SERVICE DEFINITION really make me laugh by its absurdity.I don't believe in someone who will be ready to pay for it and I strongly hope so.Unfortunately my english is not enough rich to say you what I'm thinking abt your step.I can only hope this will be your end.
