    You could use a resource editor program to open up the exe or dll containing the splash image and replace it with a blank one

    That does not seem to be the normal procedure when configuring programs nowadays...

    well if they wanted you to be able to easily turn off the splash screen there would be a setting in options to do so. hacking the program is the alternative.
