    If this is the wrong topic for this fourm, sorry...
    This may be a stupid question but if I have a VHS tape from Europe it's in PAL format...to convert it to NTSC can I use a regular VHS player to convert it and then visa versa?

    Not too sure what you're trying to do here.
    You have 2 VCR's and want to copy a PAL tape to NTSC?
    If you want to watch a PAL VHS tape on your TV, or copy onto a second VCR, check the specs. of your VCR.
    Just about all VCR's sold in the UK for the past few years are capable of playing both PAL and NTSC tapes, but I dunno about NTSC countries.
    If your VCR isn't capable of reading PAL tapes, the you won't be able to either watch or copy it. If it IS capable of reading PAL tapes, why to you want to change it to NTSC anyway?
