Is there a fast way to go from avi to mpg? I have a bunch of avi movies, and I want to get them to play on my VCD player. When I use TMPG it says it is going to take about 7 hours, any solutions??
Thanks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Buy a faster CPU, and/or try encoding w/ CCE. Encoding MPEG is a slow process. I have a Tbird 1.2Ghz and (without resizing or any filters) using TMPGenc motion search to high, MPEG1 encode takes ~2x the source runtime. In CCE I can encode to MPEG2 at ~0.6x the source run time.
