  1. Hello:

I'm trying to convert some .AVI files to MP4 using MPEG Streamclip 1.2 for Windows. I'm using a PC with Windows 8.1. I've installed the KL QuickTime Alternative 1.81 and the .AVI files play successfully in that. But when I open the file in MPEG Streamclip, no image from the video appears, just a black screen. When I try to play the video I get audio only. And I also tried converting it to MP4 and the resulting file was also audio only. Does anyone know what might be going wrong here or have suggestions for trying to solve this issue?

    Thanks,
    John

AVI is only a "container"....what kind of video is inside this AVI container?

You video player should have an option to tell you.....MPC does.(Media Player Classic)
    If not...look for MediaInfo.
