This is a GUI for DivX265 encoder that I find in sourceforge.net and is very simple to use.
previously i was trying to use x265 encoder but it was very slow so I give up but DivX265
balance between speed and quality is acceptable .

I can't seem to find the Divx265 encoder project at sourceforge. Do you have a link?
-
its mislabeled:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usingdivxhevccegui/I love it when a plan comes together! -
http://sourceforge.net/projects/usingdivxhevccegui/
File mkvmerge.exe in their program is 64bit if you want download their software from sourceforge
and install in a 32bit system you must replace mkvmerge.exe 64bit with a 32bit version after installation -
Hi!

@david55: see http://labs.divx.com/system/files/DivX_HEVC_Profiles.pdf (last page) for an overview which resolution implies which profiles and what bit rate restrictions are used
-
then add support profiles and tick disable audio tracks
To a word ...
Somewhere DivX> = <X265 are exchanged victories (who, whom smear).

Good night -
I did a comparison between divx265 and x265 this is result
divx265 1.2.0.24
profile fast
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 7:20 min
x265 0.8.0.7
preset fast
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 15 min
almost same quality as divx265
but have a artifact in encoded video
x265 0.8.0.7
preset faster
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 11 min
almost same quality as divx265
but have a artifact in encoded video
x265 0.8.0.7
preset veryfast
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 9 min
less quality compared to divx265
x265 0.8.0.7
preset ultrafast
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 8:30 min
less quality compared to divx265

Hello! Hello! I do not recommend looking at lit room in my sample... > see above "x265vsDivX"
Otherwise eyes will break! Only in the dark you can see the error in preserving grain in dark areas (TV screens increase / cheaper, and therefore more censures to the image).
DivX and X265 seems aimed at low bit rates; high themselves not well implemented in terms of bitrate savings / smooth useful noise.
Flashlight shining on the receptacle (sample gave above)
DivX - smeared and then fills / restores grain > similar remark
X265 - saved image
The last scene costume
DivX - retained texture
X265 - smeared

2-pass mode will make more accurate alignment of the bitrate. Next Move per 10,12 bit from DivX.Last edited by Gravitator; 7th Jul 2014 at 09:19.

You need to give a sample to view the problem with green cubes (this fresh version x265 encoder?);
Recently has already fixed this problem for me. -
Croping without showing results are not good. We will wait Русская GUI на вид

New test with a fresh version of x265
x265 1.0.0.9
preset ultrafast
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 9 min
less quality compared to "x265 0.8.0.7 ultrafast "
download x265 ultrafast 9min.mkv
x265 1.0.0.9
preset faster
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 13:20 min
less quality compared to "x265 0.8.0.7 faster" but without artifact
download x265 faster 13.20min.mkv
x265 0.8.0.7
preset faster
bitrate 400kb
encoding time 11 min
almost same quality as divx265 1.2.0.24 but have a artifact in encoded video
download x265 faster 0.8.0.7 11min.mkv -
Also try reduce the blocks to bring up to 16x16 or 64x64 (to clarify the influence)

mmm... We known that 12mb/s (ABR) is the ceiling for FHD; then why in the mode of "constant quantizer" it can go beyond the ~70mb/s in the same FHD?

b. because the bit-rate ceiling is an arbitrary one the DivX-folks choose -
GUI no further updates?

I'm 97% sure that gravitator means david55s GUI.

Calm down people! Divx HEVC is a bad quality hevc encoder, that's why it is so fast. The "slower" preset of X264 produced better quality picture than the Divx Hevc in the highest setting.

You do know that this GUI will work with the latest DivX265 version 1.3.74, don't you? You just need to put a copy of msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll in the program folder.
This GUI works ok, but it has a couple of annoyances for me.
1) You are forced to use mod16, so no 1920x1080 it needs to be 1920x1088.
2) It rounds out to nearest whole fps, so it converts 23.976 fps to 24 fps.Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........ -

Yes, Divx265 is faster than x265 encoder, but the quality is far less at ultra-low bitrates. Ultra-low bitrates are the only real reason to use an HEVC encoder anyway.........
