Legal and illegal are just silly terms used by the government. If you like music, film or games, it is certainly positive if you can support the artists and makers of the product. No person has the right to control another person. If you create a work of art and you don't want anyone to make use of it, then lock it up in a dark place and never let anyone know about it.

If you put your heart into making a nice product of any kind, people will pay for it, without government coercion and violence. You get back what you put out into life. So if you are extra nice to people, then that will come back to you, etc..
