    I have just downloaded the latest MKVToolNix version, and as it happened with others it doesn't include GUI versions for mmg and MKVExtract, which are the ones I use most.

    Is there a way to convert the included MKVmerge and MKVExtract into GUI?

    If not I will have to go into all MKVToolnix versions I can find and just download those with GUI.

    Are those specifically listed somewhere?

    The reason for looking for other versions is because something weird is happening with the MKVextract version inside MKVToolNix 6.8.0.

    It doesn't allow me to change the destination directory of the files I extract. That never happened before. Any reason why that might be happening?

    current MKVToolNix is v49.0.0, it's an official GUI for mkvmerge ?

    gMKVExtractGUI is the current recommended GUI for demuxing.

    Yes, I found that version separately launched.

    But there's no MKVmerge GUI in it, as it comes as mmg in all others.

    Any way I can open it as GUI?

    Mkvtoolnix-gui.exe is the current official GUI for mkvmerge (it's included in the mkvtoolnix release, at least on windows).

    There's a "Compression" item there that I'not sure what value to use with it.

    Don't use it! It doesn't "compress" the video file or make it any smaller. Changing the setting from automatic determine can cause compatibility issues with some media players.

    Ignore it. The default setting works just fine.

    It's been many years since I used mmg.exe. I don't remember what features it had. So I don't know what's been added or improved.
